Domain Name: Changing Nameservers

If you need to point your domain to a different hosting provider or DNS service, updating your nameservers in TPP Console is necessary. Follow these steps to change your nameservers successfully.

Steps to Change Nameservers in TPP

Step 1: Log in to Your TPP Account

  1. Go to https://theconsole.tppwholesale.com.au/ 

  2. Click on Domain and enter the credentials provided to you via email.

  3. Click Login.

Step 2: Select Your Domain

  1. In the dashboard, locate Manage Your Domains or a similar option.

  2. Find and click on Edit DNS beside the domain that needs updating.

Step 3: Access the Nameserver Settings

  1. Look for Domain Delegation on the left sidebar.
  2. You will see the current nameservers assigned to your domain.

Step 4: Update Your Nameservers

  1. Select the option to enter custom nameservers.
  2. Replace the existing nameservers with the new ones provided by your hosting provider.
    • Example:
      • ns1.newhost.com
      • ns2.newhost.com
  3. Click Update to apply the changes.

Step 5: Verify and Propagate [Optional]

  1. Confirm that the new nameservers appear in the list after saving.
  2. DNS changes, including nameserver updates, may take up to 24-48 hours to propagate fully.
  3. Use tools like Whois Lookup or nslookup to check if the changes have been applied.

Helpful Tips

  • Ensure accuracy: Double-check the nameserver details to avoid misconfigurations.
  • Propagation time: Inform your users that changes are not instant and may take some time to reflect globally.
